History:   There appears to be little to no Aussie Rules history in Mexico, however in 2009 the AFL club the Western Bulldogs secured Mission Foods as its major sponsor. They are part of Mexican based group Gruma Corporation, and headed by Juan Gonzalez who is reportedly a big sports fan. WorldFootyNews.com has approached the Bulldogs and AFL about encouraging the company to support a trial introduction of the sport in Mexico. We'll let you know if the idea gets any traction.

Outlook (from 2009):   Probably poor in the short term unless there is a breakthrough via the above suggestion.
