History:  Football has been played socially in Israel in the past, most notably by Australian olim and their descendants, although unfortunately plans for a league have never eventuated. For the 2008 International Cup, the Peres Centre for Peace and the Al-Quds Association for Democracy & Dialogue assisted the AFL in establishing a Peace Team, to which Israel and Palestine supplied players.  

Outlook (2009):  Currently a group meet for kick to kicks, coordinated through Facebook by Danny Brill. Football clinics have been held in Jerusalem following the 2008 International Cup and there are plans to establish an Auskick program in the country called Footy Y'alla
