History: Technically not a separate nation but an overseas territory of Britain. In 2005 it was proposed that a tournament would be held in Bermuda in a drive to kick the game off in the small Island nation. The Bermuda Australian Rules Football Championships were to be held in April 2007. This was supported by the Atlanta Kookaburras, Reading Kangaroos (UK) and Bermuda Department of Tourism with the potential to be a meeting point of North American and European footy.
The venue was to be the brand new Bermuda Sports Stadium, the prime location for other sporting events like the World Rugby Classic and the World 20/20 Cricket Trophy.
A Bermuda squad went into training but as 2007 approached it became apparent that the tournament would not go ahead. Since that time there has been no advancement or known continuation of the game in the country.
Outlook (from 2009): The game is in hiatus with no current football played or planned.
