Were the Banshees advantaged by having a some footballers playing in Australia?

Lot's of teams do, I don't think you can single out Ireland. The AFL introduced limits on Australian based players for the tournament following feedback from teams at IC14. From memory that number is 12. I am sure this will be reviewed as to how well this worked as well as other eligibility rules at the end of this tournament too. All sorts of arguments can be made. I support the ability for all players to be able to play in Australia to both boost their own skills as well as pursue footy at a higher level - and for them to still be able to play for their country. I also want footy in their home country to benefit from this. Personally I would like to see some sort of requirement that players play a minimum number of games in the country they represent (or at least outside Australia) e.g. from the end of the IC17 have to play 3 matches to qualify for IC20.
