New traditional rivals... Canada dethrones Irish Banshees

I went to this match, drove in. The match was fantastic. The first match I'd been to with such and international atmosphere. The Canadians were certainly out in force, with most of the Irish supports sitting up in back of the old Tigers grand stand. The match was hard with one of the girls been sent off for repeatedly laying out opponents and then there was some biffo at (I think) 3 quater time. An entertaining match.

A few things for the organisers to consider for next time.

Parking: I drove in, but the MCG car park was not open, and you couldn't park in the Punt Road ground car park. This should be addressed.
I really liked the idea that you could just walk in and watch the match.
Why wasn't the Women's match played at the G? Or why aren't both finals played at Punt road? Which I thought was the perfect venue for the women's and possibly the mens final.
Though a bit more publicity than the last few cups... The AFL needs to herang some of it's sponsors into giving this event more money. When I was watching the Women's game... I thought "This is gonna work as an international sport, It's really gonna work"... which as a long time follower of rules footy played OS and a follower of this website, was the first time I felt that way. So go footy! Bigger and better than ever!
