Shaheens off to a Flying Start

Great to see the lads again today at Princess Park! By coincidence our team the Fitzroy Bears are also in the same competition and playing the Shaheens on the 20th January next year which will be interesting. Our AFL 9s team has a strong international flavour too with players from Brazil, Canada, England, NZ, Scotland, US and Wales. This is my third season of AFL 9s and I highly recommend it to anyone whose thinking of giving it a go. It's much better on the older legs too haha.

You know international footy from Wales and England, you will have played against the Shaheens, perfect.  Sounds like you just volunteered to write a review for us about how the Shaheens look first hand after your match next year.

Haha, I guess I'll have a crack at it. Been a while since writing a footy article so will have to dust off the thesaurus. I believe there's a AFL 9s component of IC14 next year too so that'll be exciting for the lads. Don't know much about it but hopefully it'll get well supported.

Yep we're trying to get more info on the IC14 9s from the AFL, although Pakistan tell me they are aiming for the full field part of the IC.
