Livesport.TV offline as AFL streaming goes in-house for 2013

Please note that updated information is available in this article:  AFL choose Rightster to launch AFLTV streaming

However the NZ situation has not yet been clarified, other than this quote when we contacted the AFL:

"The AFL is currently in discussions around broadcasts in New Zealand. We would expect to be able to provide an update by the end of the month, before the season is underway."

And for those that might lament not getting to see the NAB Cup, well most Australians don't get to see it either (it's on subscription on Foxtel).

Ok. I was really stressing about this until yesterday when I updated my 2012 AFL live app on my iPad. The new version ( now called AFL Live 2013) give all residents of Australia and NZ the option of an in App purchase to AFL.TV. This gives you a 12 month subscription which gives you all live games, replays, interviews and the 24hour AFL.TV channel. It cost $109.99 NZ. It is available to all users regardless of which network they use. It allows you to use WiFi (not just 3G). It is available on Apple App Store and is also on Android. See AFL website, forward slash, mobile for details. If this works, it will be so much better than anything we have had. With an Apple TV and my iPad I can AirPlay the games to my big screen at any time I wish. Woo Hoo!
