One difficulty readers may have noticed is pinning down the age range we're talking about. The Boomerangs have been variously noted as under 16s but also 17 and under (so under 18s) - two years makes a big difference. The Cairns side was under 19s. We'll try to get confirmed details by the end of the tour.

And some more coverage today in The National - http://www.thenational.com.pg/031309/sport15.php - saying that the age of the Flying Boomerangs ranged from 15-17.

And here on the Aboriginal Footy site - http://sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.c...onID=76376 says U17 - so I think that U17 is most likely.

Although I think that latter article may be a composition of all the articles thus far, so not necessarily an independent statement of the numbers. And if the age range is 15 - 17 doesn't that mean under 18? Of course, depends when the squad was selected. But certainly sounds like the competitors will be around the same age.
