Big Mack a test for both but Samurais a success

An amusing side note (to me at least) was that on the train down to Warrnambool one of the Japanese players, Takehito Mori, was pleading with Samurais coach Richard Laidler to get a run in the forward line. As part of his plea he promised to kick 12 goals against India. As it turned out, Laidler did give him a go, and he delivered 8 goals - whether that was enough to keep the coach happy....?
