This looks like a promising development, especially for footy in the South of France, for Bordeaux and Toulouse in particular. ie. extra matches and relatively not so far to travel.

I wonder if this a spin off from the attempt to form a team in Pau in 2014 and the scheduling of the Coupe de Sud in Pau in 2015 (Pau being only about 100 km from Bayonne).

Might we see a team emerge in Pau in a couple of years down the track? Here's hoping!

And can we actually begin to hope for a resurrection of the Perpignan Tigers and/or Montpellier Firesharks, or see some cross border action with the rump of Barcelona teams.
