The Men's top 4 were split off and played their semi-final (PNG defeating New Zealand, Ireland defeating South Africa).
The Men's 5th to 12th formed Division 1 and have now played their 4th match each, giving the ladder below. They now play off for final positions.
The Men's 13th to 18th formed Division 2 and have also played their 4th match each, but in their final round will play a pre-determined match each as per the amended schedule (as per worldfootynews.com suggestion) to ensure no repeated match-ups and a mix of opposition). Their final position will be determined by their aggregate ladder (the table below plus the final round of results).
The Women have completed Round 5 (an odd number of teams and byes resulting in 4 games each over those 5 rounds). They now play off for their final positions.
Note: Men's top 4 was New Zealand (1), Ireland (2), South Africa (3), PNG (4) with the winners (PNG and Ireland) now through to the Grand Final.
* Note the ladders are WFN's unofficial calculations. Percentage is points for divided by points against mutliplied by 100, as per the AFL method.
So the final round is:
Men's top 4: Ireland vs PNG (Grand Final playoff for 1st and 2nd), New Zealand vs South Africa (playoff for 3rd and 4th)
Men's Division 1: Canada vs Tonga (playoff for 5th and 6th), USA vs Nauru (for 7th, 8th), Fiji vs GB (for 9th, 10th), France vs Pakistan (for 11th, 12th)
Men's Division 2: Finland vs Japan, Sweden vs China, Indonesia vs India (final places 13th to 18th determined by aggregated ladder positions)
Women's: Canada N/Lights vs Ireland (Grand Final playoff for 1st and 2nd), USA Freedom vs Canada M/Suns (for 3rd, 4th), Fiji vs Tonga (for 5th,6th), USA Liberty - bye.
