The provisionally-named AFL Scotland hopes to bring together and coordinate everyone's efforts in furthering the sport in Scotland.

Brought about by its two leagues, AFL Scotland is comprised of the Scottish Australian Rules Football League (SARFL) and the Caledonian Australian Football League (CAFL).

The SARFL is the National League format, comprising three 9-a-side teams in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The CAFL is Glasgow's metro 9-a-side league with three teams, Card Sharks, Mako Sharks and Tiger Sharks. The CAFL also has a women's division comprised of the Copper Sharks and Diesel Sharks.

AFL Scotland will be managed by its management committee voted in at every AGM in accordance with its constitution. The Inaugural committee voted in is as follows; President - John McIntyre, Secretary Alex Young, Treasurer - Stephen Connor, Womens Representative - Stacey Hughes.

There is also one representative from each member league, who are not required to be named until present at a meeting. The same applies to a Clansmen players' representative and umpires' representative.

The election of a Clansmen (Scotland National team) coach and its team manager were the first points to attend to, with Stephen Connor made Coach and Dunc Fell as Manager until the end of the international season, whereby an interview process will take place with potential and interested candidates.
