The AFL Oceania Cup in Suva, Fiji is underway. Day 1 saw a lightning cup carnival format to warm up the sides in preparation for Fridays first round of cup matches.

Undefeated in the rounds, Fiji Junior Tribe then met Nauru for the Grand Final - Fiji won the final 3.3.21 to Nauru 1 straight goal. Junior Tribe thereby won the Lightning Cup and gains a morale booster as it faces full length matches in the Oceania Cup proper that starts tomorrow (Friday) and ends next Tuesday (18th).
