Kruger exits in Swans list review

The Sydney Swans this week announced the following list changes, following the post season review period.

Primary list players Jarred Moore and Mark Seaby have been delisted, along with rookie list players Eugene Kruger, Jack Lynch and Dylan McNeil.

South African born Eugene Kruger was on the rookie list and did not play any senior games with the Swans in his time at the club.

Swans General Manager – Football, Dean Moore said he wished to thank all of the players for their contribution to the Club.   “All of these players have had a positive impact on our Club and we thank them for all their hard work,” he said.

“We wish to pay special tribute to Jarred Moore who has been an outstanding leader and popular member

of the playing group.   “His leadership and experience has been incredibly valuable to the young players in our squad.   “We wish all the players the very best for the future,” Moore said.

There's sometimes a right place and a wrong place to be at.  Being a 'development' fringe player at a premiership side that has to turn over it's list is a dangerous place to be!!!

Certainly didnt help Shae McNamara at Collingwood even with all their injuries they did have a long list of backup big men in reserve though - might have got a senior run at a lower club.  Tommy Walsh at Sydney struggling too - Kurt Tippett coming onto their list wouldnt help his case either.

another one was Ranga Ediriwickrama who was at Geelong a couple of years back, the Sri Lankan heritage and NSW scholarship double whammy saw him as a bit of a multicultural hope.  But then, Khan Haretuku as well was at St Kilda at a point where he was never going to squeeze past Nick Riewoldt or big Kosi.  Things could be different now!!!  (although Haretuku's finish to the season wasn't nearly as good as his star leading into the state game.....more on that in a article to follow!!).

Anyway, Ranga is back up at Pennant Hills now and I'll try to get an article on him too.
