Nathan Buckley to meet top female coaches Peta Searle and Nicole Graves

Level 3 coaches Peta Searle and Nicole Graves have been selected in the 2012 Women’s High Performance Academy which will be conducted in Melbourne this week.

The seven-day high performance camp coincides with Women’s Round - Round 17 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season. The Academy involves 50 participants including coaches, players, an umpire, strength and conditioning coaches and talent and coaching managers and aims to enhance football and coaching skills.
 

The two highest qualified female coaches in Australian football will meet with Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley. Peta is the first female coach to hold a coaching role in the VFL having been appointed assistant coach at Port Melbourne this year. Nicole is the first female to be accredited with a Level 3 Coach accreditation and currently volunteers as the first female assistant coach of a senior community men’s team, Mt Lawley.

The High Performance Academy will be split in to two teams on Saturday, July 21 for an Exhibition Match and will be coached by Peta and Nicole. The Exhibition Match will be live streamed on the AFL website http://www.afl.com.au/hpa from 10am (EST), 21 July.
