Is it just me or are the rankings for Div 1 not according to the percentages? For instance, shouldn't PNG be ranked 2nd?

Hi Jorg,

According to Aaron's calculations in the previous story, yes PNG would be 2nd, and that means they would play 12th Japan, which indeed is who they have drawn.  The only discrepancy I see is that the times of the matches on Monday seem to have swapped around for whatever reason.  Note the list above is alphabetical for each division, not by seeding.

Thanks Brett! I must have misread the fixture, as I thought the group 2 would have the 2nd, the 7th and the 10th ranked team...

It does! I'm not sure where the misunderstanding is.

Shouldn't the group 2 be then PNG, Denmark, Sweden, where it is Ireland, Denmark, Sweden now?

Hi Jörg, what happened was that an incorrect score for the Ireland vs GB game was originally entered on the AFL's score system (which I'd changed ours to match).  When they fixed it, it's changed Ireland's percentage considerably, and that's moved them from 4th to 2nd.

The scores on our front page should now be correct (I hope).

Yeah sorry about that.  In fact our people tweeted the correct score for GB vs Ireland, got told it was wrong by the official score, so we went with the official one.

It was only during the night that the AFL realised they had it wrong which then changed the draw.  So Jorg when we were discussing it I think what you and I were looking at was probably different - moving targets!

Hard to get it right when the official scores are wrong!
