The USAFL today announced their 27 man squad for their tilt at the 2011 International Cup title.  After an exhaustive process started in 2009 the final makeup was determined recently at the squad's camp in Austin Texas.

The captain of the team will be Dan “Sars” Sarbacker who is experienced in playing with the Revolution as well as having a stint playing in Australia in 2010.  Luke Nemeth, Chris Candelaria, RJ Wheelock with previous IC experience and Andrew Werner with Revolution and Australian experience form the leadership group.

The final squad are drawn from fourteen of the American teams with six players from the Minnesota Freeze being the club most represented.  Interestingly reigning Premiers, New York Magpies have no representatives in the final squad.   Donnie Lucero will be competing in his fourth International Cup.  Neither Chris Franzen or Alex McPhee who played in the World18 team in 2010 have advanced to the Revolution squad for this International Cup.
