Breath-taking

General News

Many of the best Australian football athletes play in the AFL - but not all of them. Check out this incredible mark, or "hanger" colloquially speaking. If you've ever seen one like that live, you'll know that it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you'll talk about it for weeks to come.

The player was Saad Saad, playing for Seymour FC in the 2005 Grand Final. Seymour play in Victoria's Goulburn Valley League. A breath-taking moment unique to our game.

Not a bad effort at all, although he hasn't seemed to have made much of an impression since taking 'that' grab... From the latest Big Footy posting baring his name, Seymour fans will be happy to know:

"Saad is back at Seymour after trying out for Collingwoods VFL squad. Rumour he was going to play with the Bendigo Bombers but I have been told he is playing with Seymour. East Burwood travel to Seymour this Sunday (30th March) for the now annual practice match and no doubt I will get to see Saad standing on a few heads taking a grab or two. One year he kicked 10 goals and took himself off during the third term. I am looking forward to Sunday to see Saad play. If you are doing nothing and are in the area drop in. Always a great game."
