EU Cup 2008 Live Streaming

Europe

This year's EU Cup in Prague will feature live streaming via the web.

From 10am until approximately 7pm western European time this Saturday, action will be available via this link.

If that link doesn't work, try directly through the TVCom.cz website. The site's in Czech, but it's currently on the front page.

And for those who want a sneak preview (see comments to the story below), I believe this is the new Croatian Knights strip:

Anybody watching this... look out for the magnificent new Croatia Strip !!! Probably the best dressed at this years champs with Jumpers, Shorts & Socks looking very stylish indeed.

Also - the boys from the Czech republic with their perfectly designed (but not yet perfectly manufactured) jumpers (as seen on the front page of The Age... are going to be wearing very very stylish BRF designed & manufactured shorts... extremely high quality shorts - when you consider they were ordered on Sunday 28th Sept and out of the factory on Monday 29th Sept !!! now that's service !!!

Also keep a look out for Finland's big Full Forward Number 22... in the magnificent Finland jumper (the original blue and white version... not the recently ripped off purple and white version - which look almost as silly as the USA purple pirates... come on now - not everybody wants to be the Dockers)...

Number 8 from Germany is going to look very very stylish as well... with the Black Eagles design concept coming home to Roost with the only jumper manufacturer that truly understands International Footy

You mean this one for Croatia (I just pasted it into the story, the site won't let me put a picture in a comment)?

I thought it was Kolja's work, or are you guys working together on this?

To all the guys behind the EU Cup and especially the ones responsible for the live stream - very well done! The quality of the stream is just amazing and a great service for those who couldn't make the trip!

I was only home for about 10 minutes to watch the live stream, but it was
pretty good quality.

Is TVCom.cz anything to do with Jakub Dedek?

Yes that one... it is a great looking kit... a magnificent design by Kolja.

There are 2 components to making a kit look great... there is the conceptual design, and then the manufacturing process (which includes the cut, the colour matching and layout adjustments for various sizes where proportions change with size).

Kolja did the conceptual design for the Croatia kit, which was probably 95% of the way home. The conversions etc were done by Big Rooster Footy and there were various corrections, adjustments to make so that colours & logos would present correctly... as I am sure one other jumper manufacturer in particular can tell you by now... the colours on the screen & on paper are not necessarily what you get when you apply the CMYK or RBG specs to the jumper fabric.

As for the Czech Republic... the shorts design & manufacture was by Big Rooster Footy. The jumper design was also by Big Rooster Footy, but BRF only assisted in co-ordination of manufacturing - a new set of jumpers shall be manufactured shortly.

As for Finland... the design is a derivation of the original concept by Big Rooster Footy to incorporate the Ice device instead of the Lions. The jumper on the ground in Prague which was in Finland colours was manufactured by Big Rooster Footy. The ones in purple were manufactured elsewhere.

As for Germany... the design is a derivation of a conceptual design by Big Rooster Footy... but as quite a smart black jumper with red sides as opposed to the proposed hooped design with black eagle.

Kolja's work's pretty good, although I think this is the first footy jumper of his I've seen. I've seen quite a few logos etc he's done - dsgncity.com

Interesting the new Scotland jumpers... Looked alright on their own but clashed a bit with the Czechs when you watched on live streaming!!

Kolja also had a hand in the Laos Elephants jumper... we cut a deal to use his Elephant with Footy design.

That wasn't a new Scotland jumper - that was the Edinburgh Bloods jumpers.

Explains the colours... I was wondering how a Scottish jumper got so much red
on it. I think last time I saw a team call itself Scotland at a tournament they
were wearing South Freo Sharks type jumpers - Glasgow Sharks would that be?

Kolja's Elephant was originally from the Zagreb Giants Baseball club (pre Zagreb
Giants footy) wasn't it?
