The entry of Australian Football to English schools was highlighted in a TV story on the Australian variety news morning program "Today" on Channel 9.

The segment follows on from the short commercial, and is still live at time of posting this story.

The segment focuses on Carshalton Boys School, which introduced Australian football a couple of years ago when Sportsmaster Paul Avery returned from time in Australia as a convert to the sport. They also interview Brian Clarke of Aussie Rules UK which has begun working with Carshalton and are signing up at least 10 schools for next season. The British Minister for Sport Richard Caborn (when prompted) even said one day the English may take Australia on in Aussie Rules, having already taken the Ashes in cricket.

Also getting a mention was the EU Cup 9-a-side tournament, which saw several developing nations compete against unofficial sides from more established countries.
