Europe On the 15th of June the 2005 Grand Final of the Lliga de Futbol Australià de Catalunya (LFAC) was held at the Muebles Pinky Oval in Valls, the Belfry Valls defeating Wendells Salou 6.4.40 to 4.6.30

Wendells had finished minor premiers for the season, Belfry sitting in second spot. The game was a hot contest right down to the last whistle, Belfry starting strongly a going into the half time break with a 20-6 advantage, but Wendells taking the lead in the third quarter with three quick goals. The final quarter saw Belfry steady and run out eventual victors.

Best on Ground went to Wendells' Rafael Aguilar, with the season's highest goalkicker trophy being awarded to Pedro Moliner from Belfry.

The Catalan players are now anxiously awaiting confirmation of a match against Madrid to determine the champions of Spain. The Madrid Bears would still remain hot favourites, as they destroyed Catalonia by over 100 points in their last encounter two years ago, but the Catalonians are still keen to strut their stuff against the traditional rivals from Castille.
